Recently I watched Titanic movie in
3d. Well it was worth the money and I find the story nice so I came home and
did some research on Titanic and found some stunning facts which I would like
to share to the world:-

1. The Titanic
Sinking is the real incident but the story about Jack and Rose is not real and
is made by Titanic director James Cameron.
2. James
Cameron himself decided to script and film, before production began, he took
dives to the bottom of the Atlantic and shot actual footage of the ship
underwater, which he inserted into the final film. Much of the film's dialogue
was also written during these dives.
3. Released to
theaters on December 19, 1997, Titanic grossed less in its first
weekend ($28.6 million) than in its second, ($35.4 million), an
increase of 23.8%.
4. Despite
criticism during production of the film, it received a record-tying 14 Oscar
nominations at the 1998 Academy Awards. It won 11 Oscars. No other film in
history that is made about ships had ever won that many awards.
5. The dress worn
by Kate Winslet in the movie was highly appreciated.
6. In March
2010, Cameron revealed that Titanic will be re-released in 3D in
April 2012, and it was re-released on April 4th 2012, in order to coincide with
the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the actual ship.
7. Despite being
playing such a difficult role successfully, Leonardo DiCaprio was not
successful to get Oscar.

10. The original necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the movie is currently stored in the Warner Brother's archives. It initially cost $10,000 to make. .
11. The Heart of the Ocean a fictional blue diamond featured prominently in the Titanic was originally owned by Louis XVI, diamond was cut into a heart shape after the French Revolution.
1 12. Titanic was the most expensive movie of that time (about $200 million) and it earned $2 billion worldwide in box office sales.
